A three accident morning began at 03:42 when Stations 107(Turkeytown), 17(Smithton), 19(Yukon) 82(West Newton), 58(Scottdale), 103(Collinsburg) and Air 80(North Belle Vernon) were activated for a Vehicle accident involving a train near 105 Orisik Lane in South Huntingdon Township.

Engine 17 arrived and reported one female entrapped as Attack 17 called on scene.  The crew from Attack 17 was able to gain entry through the driver side door as medic units from Station 500 (Rostraver / West Newton EMS) arrived on scene.  With the patient being treated and packaged by crews on scene, command ordered all units not on scene to divert for a landing zone at the Smithton Ball Field.  Rescue 19 and Engine 82 handled the landing zone while 17 and 107 units remained on scene for traffic control and clean up.  All other units were cancelled and all 17 units returned appox 1 hour in to the incident.

Then at 07:10, Stations 19, 107 and 17 were activated for a vehicle accident involving a car and a tractor trailer on Interstate 70 East bound near Exit 53.  Rescue 19 arrived to find one vehicle and one patient with minor injuries.  17 units were instructed to assist with traffic control and returned approx 30 mins later.

Finally as crew returned from the incident on Interstate 70, all three stations were again activated for a vehicle accident with roll over and entrapment on Fitz Henry Road near Flower's Auto Wreckers.   Medic units arrived to find a vehicle on its roof but negative entrapment.  Crews assisted with clean up and traffic then returned a short time later.
