At 01:01 Station 17 was activated for a vehicle accident with no injuries but a pole and wires down at the intersections of Third Street and Fort Street in the Borough. 

Engine 17 arrived to find a tractor trailer that sheered a utility pole, ripped wires off a house at that intersection and came to rest with the utility pole stuck inside the trailer.  With the utility pole and live wires hanging on the trailer command ordered Squad 17 and Attack 17 to set up a safe zone perimeter on Fort Street, Third Street and the effected property until Allegheny Power arrived.

While setting up the perimeter, command was notified of another vehicle accident at the intersection of Second Street and Center Street in the Borough.  Once crews arrived on scene, it was determined that the accident involved a parked vehicle and the same tractor trailer on Third Street.

Members from Station17 remained on scene until 04:30, the trailer was unloaded and removed by 07:30 and power was restored to residences by 09:00.
