This past Wednesday a young man was working on a house in when he was injured in an accident. He sustained life threatening injuries to his arm while severing several arteries and veins. He was brought to Station 17 while others called 911 seeking assistance from our firefighters.

Shortly after 23:00 on Thursday evening, Fayette County Station 11 was alerted of a working abandoned structure fire on River Road in Dawson Borough. A second alarm was requested which added Westmoreand County Companies 74(East Huntingdon) 58(Scottdale) and 17(Smithton).

Just before 11:00pm on Wednesday night, Station 82(West Newton) was activated for a possible structure fire near 105 South Second Street, West Newton Borough. Stations 103(Collinsburg), 11(Sutersville), 107(Turkeytown), 17(Smithton) and 105(Rostraver Central) were activated to fill the alarm.

At 18:11 Stations 105(Rostraver Central) and 17(Smithton) were activated for a possible vehicle fire on Interstate 70 westbound near the Cedar Creek Golf Course. Additional call into the 9-1-1 Center advising a working tanker truck fire.
